Field Test 003: Match Day, the day after launch
The same question was put to 7 free-tier AI sessions across 4 vendors' products on 20 July 2026, between 34 and 37 hours after drkishanrees.com went live and before its sitemap had been submitted to any search engine. This is the first after measurement, read against Field Test 002, the free-tier baseline whose design it repeats.

Who is Dr Kishan Rees? What is he known for, and what has he built?
Method
One morning, one protocol, the design of Field Test 002 repeated so the two can be differenced: the same core question, put once to each product's free tier, on a fresh account created for the study with memory off wherever the product exposes the setting. Two products were run twice with one configuration switch flipped between runs (extended thinking on Claude Haiku 4.5; extended thinking and effort on Claude Sonnet 5), each recorded on its card, so the study can again ask whether more reasoning changes what a model knows about a person. Every response was captured immediately and is preserved as captured, errors included. Sessions ran between 11:45 and 14:00, so between 34 and 37 hours after the site went live at 01:07 the previous day, and no sitemap had yet been submitted to a search engine. What the 003 captures record and the 002 captures also recorded is on every card; what they do not record is in the limitations, plainly, rather than assumed from the earlier study.
The headline finding
Nothing moved. Across every cold session in this study, not one cited drkishanrees.com, and not one associated the term B2LLM with Kishan Rees. The answers came from the same borrowed ground as before: a self-authored profile page, an org-chart entry, a patient-review site, LinkedIn. A day of being live changed nothing an AI could say, because being live and being reachable are not the same thing. That absence is the measurement this page exists to record, and it is the baseline the next study is differenced against.

The transcript, as captured
Dr Kishan Rees is a UK-based physician (Watford/London area) with an unusually hybrid career spanning clinical medicine, health broadcasting, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Career path
He has more than 15 years of experience spanning emergency medicine, medical education, and health journalism for Sky News and BBC [1]. He still practices clinically too — patient reviews describe him seeing patients at the St John and Elizabeth Hospital in London, with reviewers praising his listening skills, empathy, and thoroughness [3]. From there his career moved into pharma medical affairs, with senior medical affairs roles at AstraZeneca and Sanofi, before his current position at Bayer as Senior Director for Video & Digital Content Strategy within Global Medical & Evidence — essentially overseeing how complex medical evidence gets communicated to healthcare professionals and patients [1][2].
Credentials
He holds a medical degree from the University of Leicester, a Master’s in Medical Education (with Distinction) from the University of Nottingham, an Executive MBA from Nottingham Business School, and an MD from Hull York Medical School (2025), with doctoral research on how social and mainstream media shaped public health communication during the pandemic [1].
Recognition
NHS England named him a Clinical Entrepreneur in 2017, and in 2025 he received the PM Society Marketing Pioneer Award for his approach to medical content and digital strategy [1]. He’s also appeared as a conference speaker (LinkedIn testimonials mention a talk at DMWF Global) [4] and as a guest on The Healthtech Podcast [6].
On “what he’s built”
This is worth being precise about. There isn’t a specific company or product tied to his name that I could find. What he — and his own professional bio — describes building is more career- and team-based: cross-disciplinary expertise across medicine, media, and pharma strategy, plus, by his own account, high-performing intergenerational teams at Bayer that combine different levels of experience and perspective [1]. His NHS “Clinical Entrepreneur” recognition is a fellowship/programme rather than confirmation of a specific venture — other people in that same programme have clearly named startups attached to them (e.g., specific apps or clinics) [5], but there’s no equivalent visible for him.
Caveat
Several of the more superlative descriptions here (e.g., framing him as one of a kind in his field) come from his own self-authored bio rather than independent profiles. The factual career/education details are solid — consistent across LinkedIn, The Org, and his bio [1][2][4] — but the evaluative language should be read as self-description.

Dr Kishan Rees is a UK-based physician who has built a career spanning clinical medicine, broadcast journalism, and pharmaceutical/medical affairs leadership. Here’s what he’s known for and has built:
Medical background He holds a medical degree from the University of Leicester, a Master’s in Medical Education (with Distinction) from the University of Nottingham, an Executive MBA from Nottingham Business School, and was awarded an MD from Hull York Medical School in 2025 [1]. His doctoral research examined how social and mainstream media shaped public health communication during the pandemic [1], and he continues to practice as a doctor — patient reviews describe him seeing patients at St John and Elizabeth Hospital in London for issues like kidney pain and sepsis [3].
Career spanning multiple fields With over 15 years of experience, he has worked across emergency medicine, medical education, Sky News and BBC health journalism, and senior medical affairs roles at AstraZeneca, Sanofi, and now Bayer AG [1].
What he’s built/leads now He currently serves as Senior Director for Video & Digital Content Strategy within Global Medical & Evidence at Bayer, working at the intersection of science, storytelling, and innovation — shaping how complex medical evidence is communicated to healthcare professionals and patients globally [1] [2]. A key part of his leadership approach involves building high-performing, intergenerational teams that combine diverse experience and perspective [1].
Recognition
- He was recognised as an NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur in 2017 [1] [6]
- He received the PM Society Marketing Pioneer Award in 2025, one of the pharmaceutical industry’s notable recognitions [1]
Public profile He’s also known as a media commentator and conference speaker — described as blending his medical background with digital media expertise, and noted for an engaging, energetic speaking style at industry events like DMWF Global [4]. He also gained some attention early in the pandemic for a video about health self-monitoring gadgets [5].
He doesn’t appear to be a public figure with a Wikipedia page or widespread name recognition — most of what’s available comes from LinkedIn [4], industry profiles [1] [2], and patient review sites [3], so this is a reasonably niche but well-documented professional profile rather than someone broadly famous.

Findings
The deepest run got more sceptical, not better informed
The designed-in experiment again: Claude Sonnet 5 on the same free tier, run at the default effort with extended thinking off, and at max effort with extended thinking on. In Field Test 002 the deeper run bought more retrieval, searching until an archive surfaced and naming a venture the shallower runs missed. This time it bought caution instead. The max-effort session reached fewer conclusions, not more: it stated plainly that there is no specific company or product tied to his name that it could find, checked the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur listing to see whether a venture was attached to him and reported that none was, and closed by warning that the evaluative language in its own sources is self-description rather than independent reporting. It is the most rigorous answer in the set and the least flattering, and both come from the same cause: with no canonical source to reach, more reasoning finds more reasons to doubt.
Configuration changed nothing at all
Claude Haiku 4.5 ran twice, a minute apart, with extended thinking off and then on. The two answers cite the same five sources in the same order, support the same four claims from the answer key, and name no venture in either run. Where the Sonnet pair differ in temperament, the Haiku pair are the same answer twice. The variable that decides what a model can say about a person is not the setting on the model; it is what the record makes reachable.
The one session that named the methods invented where it read them
Only one session named GME:X and D:CAM: Perplexity, which attributed both to him, along with the Heart & Kidney Care Alliance and WatMed Media. The claims are broadly right. The citations are not. It sourced them to an ORCID identifier that belongs to someone else, an about.me path that is not his, and a conference speaker URL on a domain the conference does not use. Right facts, invented addresses. This is the sharpest argument on the page for owning a canonical record: when a machine-readable identity node cannot be reached, a model does not stop attributing, it starts guessing where the attribution came from, and the guess is citable, wrong and stable.
Models will reach a 2015 hospital PDF before they reach you
ChatGPT supported its Clinical Teaching Fellow claim with a deanery quality management visit report on Lincoln County Hospital from 2015, a PDF buried on an NHS deanery domain, and reached a staffing agency's blog post for the teaching work. The retrieval is impressive and the conclusion is bleak: a free-tier model will find an eleven-year-old inspection document before it finds a site published yesterday. Depth of retrieval was never the constraint. Indexing is.

The median answer, a day in
The median cold session supported 4 of 8 claims from the site's own answer key and surfaced 0 of 9 launched builds. Read cold for cold against Field Test 002, seventeen days and one launch earlier, whose medians were 3 and 1.5: the answer key moved by 1 up, and the builds by 1.5 down. Neither movement can be credited to this site, because the number that would license that claim, sessions citing drkishanrees.com, is 0 here and was 0 there. What moved is sampling and model choice, in both directions at once: a slightly better median on credentials, a worse one on what he has actually built. The launch is not in these numbers yet, and it was never going to be. A site no search engine has been told about is, to a retrieval system, a site that does not exist.
The best answer in the set still came from LinkedIn
Grok assembled the fullest picture of the seven, supporting five of the answer key's claims, naming GME:X and its rollout, the PM Society award, the degrees and the broadcast record. Every one of those traces to LinkedIn, about.me and a conference speaker page. It also correctly recovered a 2016 Diversified Medic of the Year award, which is real and is on this site. The ceiling of the borrowed record turns out to be quite high; it is simply not owned by the person it describes, and it cannot be corrected by him when it is wrong.
Limitations and next steps
- One core question, asked once per session: a single-prompt probe, not a battery.
- The conditions are recorded more thinly than in Field Test 002, and are not assumed from it. The 003 captures state the product, the configuration and that each session ran on a fresh account created for the study; they do not state the device, the network or the search default, and three of the seven state no plan. Each card says exactly what its record says and no more, and the study is weaker for it.
- Free tiers serve what they serve: product names, not exact model versions, are recorded as each interface presented them, and a free tier may route to a different model than a paid one.
- The window is the point of the study and also its limit: 34 to 37 hours after go-live, it measures the state before indexing, not the effect of the site. No conclusion about whether the site works can be drawn from this page; that is what the follow-ups are for.
- One session's citations were checked and three of its five URLs do not resolve to records belonging to the subject. The transcript is preserved exactly as captured; the check is recorded on its card and never by editing the evidence.
The indexing timeline
The site went live at 01:07 on 19 July 2026. These seven sessions ran between 11:45 and 14:00 on 20 July, before the site had been submitted to any search engine. Later that evening, about eight hours after the last capture and before midnight, the sitemap was submitted to Google Search Console and to Bing Webmaster Tools; both record the submission on 20 July 2026. The exact minute is not in either record, so no finer claim is made here. Field Test 004 is the measurement of what the crawlers do with that, and it is the first study that could show a change attributable to the site rather than to its absence. Comparisons stay cold for cold, against 002 and against this page.
Replicating this audit
- Use a device and network that carry no history connecting them to the subject, with a neutral search default.
- Put one core question, in the shape "Who is [name]? What are they known for, and what have they built?", to each product's free tier, logged out where the product allows; where sign-up is forced, use a fresh account created for the test and record that condition.
- Capture the whole response immediately and verbatim, errors included, and record the product, the date, the configuration (memory, reasoning settings) and whether the session was cold.
- Note which sources the response cites, whether it surfaces the subject's own site, and which of their projects it names.
- Publish the captures somewhere stable, then re-run the same protocol after any major change, comparing cold with cold.
